Kenitra, Morocco
The first edition of the International Symposium on Materials, Catalysis, Energy and Environment (ISMC2E)
This meeting will also promote collaborations and consolidate links between academic and socio-economic actors

Topics Overview
This theme focuses on the development and application of new and advanced materials that are essential for technological and industrial progress. It will explore nanomaterials and nanostructures, which are revolutionizing fields such as electronics, healthcare, and energy storage. The symposium will also address the creation of composites and hybrid materials that combine the properties of different materials to enhance performance in various applications. Additionally, smart and functional materials will be discussed, highlighting materials that can respond to environmental stimuli and adapt to changing conditions. The theme will cover the development of thin films and surface engineering, important for enhancing the properties of materials used in electronics and energy devices. Finally, the application of materials in electronics, energy, and healthcare will be emphasized, demonstrating their potential to improve energy efficiency and contribute to medical advancements.
This theme explores the role of catalysis and photocatalysis in providing sustainable solutions for energy production and environmental protection. The symposium will cover green and sustainable catalysis, which aims to create environmentally friendly chemical processes with reduced energy consumption and waste. A major focus will be on photocatalytic materials used for water and air purification, showcasing their potential to clean pollutants in the environment. Hydrogen production and CO2 conversion will also be addressed as promising methods for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and producing clean energy. The theme will delve into catalytic processes for energy storage and chemical transformations, providing insights into how these technologies can contribute to the development of renewable energy systems. Additionally, the industrial and environmental applications of catalysis will be discussed, demonstrating how these processes can be scaled up for commercial use and environmental impact mitigation.
The third theme highlights the critical role of energy technologies in driving the transition to a low-emission, sustainable future. The symposium will explore the latest advancements in renewable energy systems, focusing on solar and wind energy, which are key to reducing dependence on fossil fuels. Energy storage and conversion devices, such as batteries and supercapacitors, will be discussed, emphasizing their importance in storing renewable energy and improving grid stability. The development of fuel cells, batteries, and supercapacitors will be explored, showcasing innovations that enhance energy efficiency and support the widespread adoption of electric vehicles and renewable energy sources. Furthermore, the theme will focus on hydrogen and clean fuel technologies, which are essential for achieving carbon neutrality. The symposium will also examine low-carbon and zero-emission energy solutions, aiming to provide a roadmap for achieving sustainable energy systems with minimal environmental impact.
This theme will focus on the intersection of environmental protection, sustainability, and circular economy principles. The symposium will address pollution monitoring and mitigation strategies, exploring advanced techniques for tracking pollutants and reducing their impact on the environment. Resource efficiency and waste management will be another key area, discussing how to maximize the use of natural resources and minimize waste through innovative technologies and policies. The theme will delve into circular economy strategies, which aim to close the loop on product lifecycles by encouraging the reuse, recycling, and reduction of waste. Climate change adaptation and mitigation will also be a central topic, with discussions on strategies to cope with the effects of climate change and reduce its long-term impacts. Lastly, the symposium will focus on sustainable development policies, providing insights into how governments, industries, and organizations can implement practices that promote environmental protection while supporting economic growth and societal well-being.
These themes will offer a comprehensive overview of the current advancements and future prospects in materials, catalysis, energy, and environmental solutions, making the symposium a key event for professionals and researchers dedicated to tackling the most pressing environmental challenges.
